Welcome Everyone to our Second Winter Wonder Stash Busting Crochet Along. As we start thinking about the end of 2020 and beginning of 2021 I though it would be fun to end/start with Winter Wonder Shawl CAL! They are a great way to make blankets, scarves, shawl, etc. that is completely unique to you! We also get to use up some of our yarn stash to make room for new yarns. 🙂 It’s like a physical representation of your life in yarn! FUN!!

Welcome to our last 2020 Crochet Along! This Crochet Along is more of a stash busting kinda CAL.
This Crochet Along is going to be a little different than the ones we have done in the past. We are going to crochet this shawl together and share our progress along the way. I am excited to see the different color variations that are chosen.
Now lets gather our materials. 🙂
Here’s a brief summary of how we are going to do it in 2020
- We are going to make a gorgeous crochet shawl.
- If you get a few weeks behind, you can easily catch up, as the rows are quick and easy to whip up.

Basic Material Requirements
What colors? Whatever your heart desires. You can use multiple colors, a solid color or a gradient of sorts.
You can work with my suggested yarn and color or select your own yarns and colors!
** To make this shawl is completely optional. **
MY COLORS THAT ARE USED IN THE DESIGN!
Lion Brand CupCake #3, Color: Coffee Break
I decided to use Lion Brand CupCake #3 weight for my Winter Wonder Shawl so it would be a little lighter and have a decent amount of rows.
The amount of yarn you will need will alter depending on your yarn weight and hook size. The finished size of your shawl will also vary on your yarn and gauge.
Size Hook: I will be using an H (5mm) & I (5.5mm) crochet hook – I’ll explain the need for two hooks on Friday.
Scissors, stitch markers, blunt needle, and tape measure
TBD – The size of your shawl will depend on the size yarn and hook you end up using.
Easy to Intermediate – stitches will range from beginner to slightly more advanced.
There is not an official signup page!
You can set your own pace and work at your convenience!
I use US Crochet stitch terminology
* Tension is necessary for this project to be perfect. However, the same type of yarn and hook throughout the project is recommended. *
I recommend using the suggested hook your yarn calls for.
**Just keep in mind your gauge should still be close to mine.**
