Batting

Cut 2 thickness of cotton batting the shape of the Santa Hat. With needle and matching sewing thread secure batting to the wrong side of one section of the hat.  Place other side of hat on top of the batting with right side out and pin together to hold in place while sewing.  Use the mattress stitch and sew the two together matching stitches as you sew.  I used red yarn on the red areas and white on the white to sew with.
Fasten off and weave in all ends.
