Level of Difficulty – Beginner

Yarn – Schachenmayr SMC Catania, #2 Fine, 100% Cotton, 1.75 ozs/137 yds/50g/125 m, Color #0209 used approximately 75 to 100 yds

Hook and Notions – Size Hook: G (4mm)

Measurement – Laying flat width 10 inches, height 8 inches

Gauge – 9 stitches + 8 rows = 2-inches

Abbreviations

BP – back post

Ch = chain

Dc = double crochet

FP – front post

Hdc = half double crochet

Sc = single crochet

Special Stitches:

Seed stitch – work single crochet, double crochet in the indicated stitch.

Notes – 1. Chain 2 at beginning of rows counts as first stitch.

  1. Multiples of 8 stitches + 1 (plus 8 stitches – 4 on each side for the border)
