By now everyone has either seen or heard about Hurricane Harvey and how much damaged he has done and is still causing. With all the devastation that we are currently experiencing my friend Celina (Simply Collectible Crochet) and I have teamed up to start helping those who have a greater need than us.

In the 11 years that I have lived here I have never seen anything like what we are currently going through. Without going through all the emotional details, I will tell you that the water was 6-inches from our front door before it started receding. I think that is when I became really worried…
Hurricane Harvey became the first category 4 storm to hit the US since 2004, and the first hurricane to hit Texas since the 1970’s. The storm dumped 50″ of rain as it stalled over Texas for several days. By the time it was all over, Harvey had forced 30,000 people to relocate, and more than 200,000 homes or businesses were destroyed. 1.
