This Christmas Ornament Hotpad is really easy and quick to whip up. The perfect companion to the Christmas Ornament Coasters. Together they will look great in your home for the holidays. Be sure to visit the 2016 Christmas Mini Gift Along for all the patterns!
Make several and place them around the counters as decorations, or to protect your table tops from hot serving dishes as you serve your favorite dishes. This will also make a great hostess gift if you are going to visit family and friends instead of hosting the gathering.

Batting Ornament
Cut 2 thickness of cotton batting the shape of the Ornament. With needle and matching sewing thread secure batting to the wrong side of one section of the ornament. Place other side of ornament on top of the batting with right side out and pin together to hold in place while sewing. Use the crab stitch to join the two together. Make sure the stitches match as you work the crab stitch. I used white yarn to work the crab stitch.
Batting Hanger
Cut 2 thickness of cotton batting the shape of the Hanger. With needle and matching sewing thread secure batting to the wrong side of one section of the hanger. Fold other half of hanger over top of the batting with right side out and pin together to hold in place while sewing. Use the crab stitch and crochet the two together matching stitches as you go. I used white yarn to crochet with.
Happy Hookin!
