Hook Size: 9.0 mm (M), scissors and yarn needle
Measurement
At this point you should roughly measure: 29″ by 5″ (keep in mind I crochet tightly and the thread type makes a difference)
Abbreviations
CA = Color A – Black
CB = Color B – Purple
CC = Color C – Pink
Ch/chs = chain/chains
Dc = double crochet
Sp/sps = space/spaces
St/sts = stitch/stitches
Special Stitch
Herringbone Double Crochet – (Hb dc) – yarn over, insert hook into indicated stitch, yarn over draw loop up and through first loop on hook (2 loops on hook), yarn over and draw through 1 loop on hook, yarn over and draw through both loops on hook. (Hb dc completed)
Notes
If you are using more than one color you can alternate them changing at the end of every row.
Instructions
Round 11 (this was Round 7): Chain 1, hdc in same stitch as join, slip stitch into next stitch, * hdc in next stitch, slip stitch in next stitch, * repeat from * to * around; joining with slip stitch in 1st hdc, (120 sts)
Change color
Round 12 (this was Round 8): Chain 1, slip stitch in same stitch as join, * hdc in slip stitch, slip stitch in top of hdc, * repeat from * to * around; joining with slip stitch in 1st slip stitch.
Change color
Round 13 (this was Round 6): Chain 1, hb-dc in same stitch as join and in each stitch around; join in top of 1st hb-dc. (120 hb-dc)
