American Crochet is owned and operated by Mistie Bush (Mistie Bush Designs). Mistie has been crocheting since she was 16 and designing patterns since 2007. Along with her husband Kevin and their family, they share their passion for yarn arts with crafters worldwide.

CAROH is our community initiative dedicated to weaving hearts together, forming spiritual bonds, and inspiring others through the joy of crafting. It's about using our creative skills to bring comfort and hope to those in need, including creating items for preemies and other charitable causes.

Yes! In addition to our free patterns, we offer premium designs through our Etsy Shop and Ravelry Store. Premium patterns often include additional sizes, detailed photos, and video tutorials.

We design patterns for all skill levels - from beginner-friendly projects to more advanced techniques. Each pattern clearly indicates the skill level required, and we're always happy to help if you have questions!

A Crochet A-Long is a community project where we all crochet the same pattern together! We release pattern sections on a schedule, and you can join our community to share progress, ask questions, and see everyone's beautiful creations.

Visit our Crochet A-Longs page to see current and past CALs. Join our Facebook group or email list to get notified when new CALs begin. All our CAL patterns are free!

No worries! All CAL patterns remain available after the event ends, so you can work at your own pace. Many crafters join CALs months later and still enjoy the patterns. There's no pressure - crochet should be relaxing!

We love seeing your progress! Share your projects on social media using our hashtags and tag @americancrochet. We regularly feature community creations on our pages!

After purchasing from our Etsy or Ravelry shops, you'll receive an instant download link. Patterns are delivered as PDF files that you can save to your device or print. If you have any issues, email us at [email protected].

Due to the digital nature of our patterns, we generally don't offer refunds. However, if you're having trouble with a pattern or received the wrong file, please contact us and we'll make it right!

Yes! You're welcome to sell finished items made from our patterns. We just ask that you credit American Crochet/Mistie Bush Designs as the pattern designer. Mass production or pattern redistribution is not permitted.

Currently, we focus on digital patterns. However, you can find recommended yarns and supplies through our Amazon Shop where we share our favorite crafting tools and materials.
