You may use this as an alternative or addition for any section of the CAL – or leave them out completely. Just be sure when finishing up the next section starts on the RS of the project (the pretty side of your work). Hopefully the alternate section(s) will also be beneficial for those of you who are planning to add some additional length to your blanket.

Wonder Blanket ~ Crochet Along

REQUIREMENTS

Level of Difficulty

• Easy

Yarn

• Red Heart Soft, worsted weight #4, 100% Acrylic, 5oz/141g/256 yds/234m, (I used approximately 100 yds of Wine and Off White)

Hook and Notions

• Hook: 5.50mm (I)
• Scissors
• Blunt needle

Measurement

• Half Double Crochet: 9 rows = 3 inches
• Double Crochet: 5 rows = 3 inches

Gauge

• N/A

Abbreviations

• Ch/chs = chain/chains
• Hdc = half double crochet
• Dc = double crochet
• St/sts = stitch/stitches

I have designed two alternate sections for the Wonder Blanket CAL.  If there are some sections that you do not wish to incorporate into your CAL these can be used.  The color change is your choice.  As you can see it looks great as one color although, if you are changing colors every row as some crocheters are this will look nice also.

Instructions

Row 1: Chain 2 (counts as 1^st hdc), hdc in next stitch and each stitch across. Turn (165 hdc)

Rows 2–9: Repeat Rrow 1 (165 hdc)

Instructions

Row 1: Chain 3 (counts as 1^st dc), dc in next stitch and each stitch across. Turn (165 dc)

Rows 2–5: Repeat Row 1 (165 dc)
