I am extremely excited to share with you my Alpaca Mood Cowl. It’s soft and cozy yet it’s light and airy, which means is perfect for cooler weather. Cowls are one of my favorite things to crochet and to wear. Enjoy!

Level of Difficulty – Beginner/Intermediate
Yarn – Knit Picks, Wonderfluff – Goji Heather, 70% Baby Alpaca, 7% Merino, 23% Nylon; 142 yards/50 grams total, Bulky Weight
Hook and Notions – Size Hook: J (6mm), scissors, blunt needle
Measurement – 7 ½ -inches wide and 20 ½ -inches long
Gauge – Not important for this project
Abbreviations
Ch = chain
Sc = single crochet
Dc = double crochet
Notes – Chain 3 at beginning of row does not count unless otherwise stated.
Instructions
Chain 124
Foundation Row (RS): Work (Dc, sc) in the 4th chain from the hook, * chain 3, skip the next 3 chains, work (dc, sc) in the next chain, repeat from * across. Turn
Row 1: Chain 3 (see pattern notes), skip the first single crochet, * work (dc, sc) in the next dc, chain 3, skip the next chain 3 space and sc, repeat from * across, ending with a (dc, sc) in the next dc, skip turning chain 3. Turn
Rows 2-14: Repeat Row 1
Fasten off and leave tail long enough to sew both ends together.
