Stitch the Season: Spring Awakening CAL 2026

Spring is here — and I have been working on something special to celebrate it with you.

Welcome to the very first Stitch the Season: Spring Awakening crochet-along! This is a four-week community event where we stitch through a collection of four coordinating spring patterns together — one new pattern releasing every Saturday.

Whether you make one pattern or all four, there is a place for you here.

What Is the Stitch the Season: Spring Awakening CAL?

A crochet-along — or CAL — is a community event where makers stitch through the same pattern or collection at the same time, sharing progress and cheering each other on along the way.

The Stitch the Season: Spring Awakening is my very first Stitch the Season collection — a series I plan to repeat every season with a brand new coordinating set of patterns. Spring Awakening is where it all begins.

Over four weeks, one new pattern releases every Sunday. You can stitch along in real time week by week, or purchase the full bundle and work at your own pace. There are no rules — just good yarn, good community, and beautiful spring makes.

The CAL is free to participate in. Each pattern is available as a paid PDF download from the American Crochet shop. Patterns are available individually or as a discounted bundle.

Week 3 — May 3: Speckled Nest Eggs Set

My very first amigurumi pattern — and I designed it to be beginner friendly so we can learn this together! The Speckled Nest Eggs Set includes three egg variations in one PDF: a plain egg, a speckled egg with embroidery detail, and a striped egg worked in seed stitch. Beautiful as spring décor, nestled in a wooden bowl with dried moss and eucalyptus.

  • Skill level: Beginner Friendly
  • Type: Amigurumi / Home Décor
  • Yarn: Worsted weight (Size 4) — smooth yarn recommended
  • Hook: 4.0mm (G/6)
  • Yardage: 75–120 yards total (3 patterns included)

Week 4 — May 10: Spring Coaster Set

The perfect finale — and perfectly timed for Mother’s Day! The Spring Coaster Set includes four designs in one PDF: a classic round coaster, a modern square coaster, and two flower coaster variations. Made in cotton yarn for a functional, washable finish. A beautiful handmade gift that she will actually use.

  • Skill level: Beginner Friendly to Easy Intermediate
  • Type: Home Décor / Coasters
  • Yarn: Worsted weight cotton (Size 4) — 30–50 yards per coaster
  • Hook: 5.0mm (H/8)
