Fashion Arch Headband ~

Crochet Pattern

This Fashion Arch Headband is a great way to look stylish and keep your hair from being in your face. Make several to coordinate with your wardrobe. Make this headband within an hour and you only need a small amount of yarn.

Level of Difficulty – Beginner
Yarn – Red Heart Fashion #3 approximately 50 yds
Hook and Notions – Size Hook: G (5.0mm), scissors, blunt needle

Measurement – 9-inches width and 3-inches high

Gauge – 2 pattern repeats = 2-inches

Abbreviations
Ch = chain
Sc = single crochet
Dc = double crochet
Sp = space

Notes –
FHDC – (Foundation Half Double Crochet) Chain 2, yarn over, insert hook into first chain (2^nd from the hook), yarn over, pull up through the first loop on the hook (this is your first chain loop). With 3 loops on hook, yarn over, pull through 3. * Yarn over, insert your hook into the first chain loop, yarn over, pull up a loop (this is your second chain loop), yarn over, pull through 3. 2 fhdc completed. Repeat from * until you reach the desired number of fhdc.

Headband Instructions

FHDC (see special stitches) 70

Row 1: Chain 4 (counts as 1 dc and ch 2 space),
skip the next 2 stitches,
* dc in the next 3 stitches, chain 2, skip the next 2 chains, * repeat from * across,
dc in the last 2 chains. Turn (13 ch-2 sp)

Row 2: Chain 1, sc in the first dc, skip the next dc,
work 5 dc in the chain 2 space,
* skip the next dc, sc in the next dc, skip the next dc, work 5 dc in the next chain 2 space, *
repeat from * to * across, chain 1, sc in the chain 2 of the beginning chain 4. Turn

 

Row 3: Chain 4, skip the first dc, dc in the next 3 dc,
* chain 2, skip the next 3 stitches, dc in the next 3 dc,
repeat from * to * across,
chain 1, dc in the last sc. Turn

Row 4: Chain 3, work 2 dc in the same stitch, skip the next dc, sc in the next dc,
* work 5 dc in the next chain 2 space, skip the next dc, sc in the next dc, *
repeat from * to * across,
work 3 dc in the third chain of the beginning chain 4. Turn

Row 5: Chain 3, dc in the next dc, chain 2, skip the next 3 stitches,
* dc in the next 3 dc, chain 2, skip the next 3 stitches, *
repeat from * to * across,
dc in the last dc, dc in the top of the beginning chain 3.

Fasten off. Leave long enough tail for sewing ends together.

Match both ends together. Using the mattress stitch sew both ends together. This completes your headband.
