Part Four we got caught up on parts one through three and joined the other panel of squares (using the mattress stitch) to Part 3 of the blanket. The Ocean Medley Blanket Part Five is the 5th and final section of a fun field crochet pattern. It’s hard to believe how fast this crochet along has went by. Ocean Medley Mystery Blanket ~ Crochet Along

REQUIREMENTS

Level of Difficulty
Beginner/Intermediate

Yarn
Red Heart With Love, Color A (Daffodil), Color B (Peacock), Color C (Pewter), Color D (Iced Aqua), Color E (White); 600 yards (roughly)

Hook and Notions
Hook: H (5mm), scissors and blunt needle

Abbreviations
Ch/chs = chain/chains
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet

Chain 1 at beginning of row does not count unless otherwise stated
Chain 2 at beginning of row counts as a hdc unless otherwise stated

Crochet With Mistie! ~ Part Five

Instructions

COLORS: A – Daffodil; B – Peacock; C – Pewter; D – Iced Aqua; E – White

Edging

Round 1: Join Color D in any corner space, chain 2, work (hdc, ch 1, 2 hdc) in the same corner space, * hdc in each stitch and end of rows evenly across, work Corner (2 hdc, ch 1, 2 hdc),* repeat from *to* around; ending with a slip stitch in the beginning chain 2.
Fasten off Color D and attach Color A in corner chain 1 space

Round 2: Chain 3, skip next stitch, sc in next stitch, Attach Color B in the skipped stitch; *chain 3, working over Color A, sc in next stitch, dropping Color B (DO NOT FASTEN OFF) and picking up Color A, chain 3, working over Color B, sc in next stitch,* repeat from *to* around; joining each color in their perspective sc.
Fast off and weave in ends.
