Hook: 3.0 mm, scissors, and yarn needle

Christmas Ornament Glass Ball 3 inches (83 mm) diameter

Laying flat finished Height 5 inches Width 4 ½ inches

Ch = chain
Dc = double crochet
Hdc = half double crochet
Sc = single crochet
Tr = treble crochet
Tr2tog = treble 2 treble sts together

The Chain 5 at beginning of rounds counts as treble and chain 2.  When joining into it join in 3rd chain.

Chain 4; join to form ring

Round 1: Chain 5 (counts as tr and ch 2), working in ring *tr, ch 2*, repeat from *to* 9 times; join with slip stitch in 3rd chain of beginning chain 5. (10 tr, 10 ch-2 sps)

Round 2: Slip Stitch to chain 2 space, chain 5 (counts as 1st tr and ch 2), (tr, ch 2), 2 more time in same space, * tr, chain 2 * 3 times in each chain 2 space around; join with slip stitch in 3rd chain of beginning chain 5. (30 tr, 31 ch-2 sps)

Round 3: Slip Stitch to chain 2 space, chain 5 (counts as tr and ch 2), *tr, skip tr, chain 2* (work in chain 1 space of previous row), repeat from *to* around; join with slip stitch to 3rd chain of beginning chain 5. (31 tr, 31 ch 2 sps)

Round 4: Repeat Round 3 (31 tr, 31 chain 2 sps)

Round 5: Slip Stitch to chain 2 space, chain 3, tr in each chain 2 space around; join with slip stitch in top of beginning chain 3. (31 tr)

Round 6: Chain 3 (counts as 1st tr), *tr2tog, tr in next stitch* repeat from * to * around; join with slip stitch in top of chain 3. (20 tr)

Round 7: Chain 3 (counts as dc and chain 1), dc in same stitch, *dc, chain 1, dc* in each stitch around; join with a slip stitch in top of chain 3.

Round 8: Chain 1 sc in same stitch, *skip next stitch, work 5 tr fan in next stitch, skip next stitch, sc in next stitch,* repeat from *to* around; joining in first sc.

Fasten off and weave in ends

Tie

Leave 1 inch tail at beginning

Chain 40, fasten off leaving a 1 inch tail.
