COLORS: A – Daffodil; B – Peacock; C – Pewter; D – Iced Aqua; E – White

Working With Color A

Make 6
Chain 5; join with a slip stitch to form a ring
Round 1: Chain 3 (See Notes), work 14 dc into the ring; join with a slip stitch in top of beginning chain 3. (15 dc)

Round 2: Chain 1 (See Notes), sc into same stitch, *work [chain 5, sc into 2nd chain from the hook, hdc into next chain, dc into next 2 chains, skip next 2 dc (from RND 1), sc into next dc] 4 times; join with a slip stitch into 1st sc.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Attach Color B in any point of the star (the space between the Last chain and the First sc)

Round 3: *work hdc into the sc, dc into the hdc, tr into the next 2 dc, tr into the next sc, (continue working up the right-side of the next ‘star arm’ – you will be working into the chain spaces opposite the stitches) tr into next 2 chains, dc into next chain, hdc into next chain, sc into the point of the star,* repeat from *to* 4 more times; join with a slip stitch into the 1st sc. (50 sts)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Round 4: Attach Color C into any point of the star (sc stitch)
Step 1: Chain 1 (See Notes), sc into same stitch, hdc into the next 2 stitches, dc into the next stitch, work (dc, ch 2, dc) into the next stitch, dc into the next 3 stitches, hdc into next 2 stitches, sc into the next 4 stitches
Step 2: hdc into the next 2 stitches, dc into the next stitch, work (dc, ch 2, dc) into the next stitch, dc into the next 3 stitches, hdc into the next 2 stitches, sc into the next 3 stitches
Step 3: hdc into the next 2 stitches, dc into the next stitch, work (dc, ch 2, dc) into the next stitch, dc into the next 3 stitches, hdc into the next 2 stitches, sc into the next 4 stitches
Step 4:
hdc into the next 2 stitches, dc into the next stitch, work (dc, ch 1, dc) into the next stitch, dc into the next 3 stitches, hdc into the next 2 stitches, sc into the next 2 stitches; join with a slip stitch into the 1st sc. (54 sts – 13 sts over 2 sides and 14 sts over 2 sides, 4 Corners)

Round 5: Chain 3 (See Notes), dc into each stitch around, working (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) into each chain 2 corner space; join with a slip stitch into the 1st dc. (70 sts)

Attach Color D into any Chain 2 Corner space

Round 6: Chain 3 (See Notes), work (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) into the corner space, dc into each stitch until next chain 2 space, *work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) into corner space, dc into each stitch until next chain 2 corner space,* repeat from *to* two more times; join with a slip stitch into the 1st dc. (86 sts)

Round 7: Chain 3 (See Notes), work dc into each stitch around, working (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) into each corner space; join with a slip stitch into the 1st dc. (102 sts)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Attach Color E into any Chain 2 Corner space

Round 8: Chain 3 (See Notes), work (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) into chain 2 space, dc in each stitch until next chain 2 corner space, *work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) into corner space, dc into each stitch until next chain 2 corner space,* repeat from *to* two more times; join with a slip stitch into the 1st dc. (118 sts)

Round 9: Chain 3 (See Notes), dc in each stitch around, working (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) into each chain 2 corner space; join with a slip stitch into the 1st dc. (33 per side x 2 & 34 per side x 2 = 134 sts)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

First Panel
Join the 3 squares together using the mattress stitch.

Second Panel
Join the remaining 3 squares together using the mattress stitch. Lay this panel to the side.
